🎚️ Behind the Song: “Cosmic Bullet”

Cosmic Bullet is more than a track — it’s my way of turning a weird, beautiful, rebellious slice of the universe into music.

🎚️ Behind the Song: “Cosmic Bullet”

🚀 How a Weird Line of Galaxies Became a Song

I stumbled across a New Scientist article about a bizarre discovery in deep space — a line of dwarf galaxies perfectly arranged across the cosmos, possibly created by what scientists are calling a "cosmic bullet." The idea of some high-speed, unseen force carving through the universe and leaving a trail of aligned galaxies behind completely captivated me.

As a musician, I couldn’t shake the image. That raw, unstoppable energy? That defiance of what we expect from the orderly universe? That’s a song.

✍️ Writing the Lyrics

When I sat down to write Cosmic Bullet, I wanted the lyrics to feel as wild, mysterious, and rebellious as the galaxies themselves. Here's how it turned out:

[Verse 1]
Out in the void where the stars collide
A strange alignment where secrets hide
A crooked path through the endless black
Galaxies twisting they won't look back

[Verse 2]
A streak of chaos cutting through the haze
Burning bright in a million ways
A silent roar as the cosmos bends
No start, no middle — it just transcends

[Chorus]
Cosmic bullet ripping through the sky
Breaking rules, no need to ask why
A trail of wonder through the great unknown
The universe shivers as it's overthrown

[Verse 3]
Spinning clusters in a reckless race
Dancing wildly in their endless chase
A line of chaos no map can chart
This cosmic bullet is a work of art

[Bridge]
Whispers echo in the stellar tide
Mystery rides on the bullet's glide
Endless motion, never standing still
A rebel's journey fueled by will

[Chorus]
Cosmic bullet ripping through the sky
Breaking rules, no need to ask why
A trail of wonder through the great unknown
The universe shivers as it's overthrown

🎛️ Building the Sound

For the production, I leaned into what I love most — high-energy, atmospheric layers with a tech-trance pulse and a hint of psytrance rebellion. I wanted the track to feel like it’s constantly in motion, like that cosmic bullet never stops cutting through space.

  • Pulsating kick drum = the steady engine of the universe
  • Atmospheric pads = the vast emptiness of space
  • Sharp synth stabs = that piercing, unstoppable bullet
  • Whispery vocals with delay = the mystery echoing behind it all

The song never really "lands" — it just keeps going, like the galaxies twisting in the wake of that cosmic shot.

🌌 Why Cosmic Bullet?

The idea that the universe still throws curveballs at scientists — giant lines of galaxies where they’re not supposed to be — feels rebellious in the best way. This isn’t just space; it’s mystery, chaos, and art all wrapped into one. That’s exactly what I wanted the song to sound like.

🎧 Take the Ride

Cosmic Bullet is more than a track — it’s my way of turning a weird, beautiful, rebellious slice of the universe into music. I hope when you listen, you feel that rush — the chaos, the wonder, and the endless unknown.
